The AGBU Lebanon District Committee Emphasizes Its Youth During Its General Assembly and Strategic Workshop With more than 173 members and representatives of committees, AGBU Lebanon held its General Assembly on Sunday, February 2, 2020. For the first time in a decade, the District Committee gathered its members for a general assembly and a workshop that brought together leadership and committee members for a meeting that emphasized the role of young leaders and provided an opportunity to cultivate a shared vision. The event welcomed participants from the AGBU Schools and Education Committee, AGBU-AYA Asbeds, AGBU-AYA Khosnag Monthly, Dispensaries, Ladies Auxiliary, Veterans, Cultural Committees, the Young Professionals as well as the leadership and constituents of the Antranik Youth Association. The lively discussions in AGBU Demirdjian Center focused on the four key pillars of the organization (humanitarian; culture and identity; education; and socio-economic development) and communications after which, AGBU Central Board member, Dr. Yervant Zorian, presented the global membership concept (via Skype). “This meeting was designed to bring in all the stakeholders and particularly the youth, to connect them and provide an opportunity to share respective experiences. I am confident that we will be conducting more workshops in the near future”, said Gerard Tufenkjian, the President of AGBU Lebanon. *The workshop was conducted by the 3QA organization on a small cohort. 3QA is a regional social enterprise that offers organisations support through its programs and services that focus on holistic organisational management and excellence in governance.
